Well, once because, well 'cau-- I went on there with my mom and my dad and- when I was little so, just to like (inc), (sound), yeah. We had like supper on there and, (sound) I think we went with your mom too.

So it's good to support- and our waterfront is- is pretty nice you-know go down and have supper on the boat there and ah walk along the waterfront.

Speaker: Murder-mystery parties or organize events. Interviewer: W-- W-- W-- What's that? Speaker: Ah, I guess that we could say it's a game where you would have somebody hosting a supper or dinner, have some alcohol involved or some fine food, um, play roles. So it was kind-of like a role-playing-game, but in a day, um, you would find out ah who killed who, the reason why they did and ah the whole night was a guessing game.

I- a-- as a kid I mean it was so different from nowadays like we'd go out in the morning and (laughs) we'd go home for lunch, we'd go home for supper and to sleep. And that was about it, like you-know.

Oh Ian's today they're having a steak barbecue at the Bingo today. ... Yeah I was going to go but my daughter phoned asked me for- for ah supper so ah yeah. ... Yeah. But I mean you get a nice steak supper- ah steak and a baked potato and a bun and coleslaw, ten bucks. You can't beat that.

If he- he had that door closed on the side there and he gets in and he can put everything in and close the door. If he had a small load go up. (inc) suppose to go up. And he went- and I- and I- that supper (inc)- I was going home that night and next morning I found out that he was- they had to went down- Jarred-Mouve went down there and he wasn't feeling too good.

So I picked up my two grand-daughters and my- my daughter had a bunch of bags one day for supper for Sunday- she has a bunch of bags to- all (inc) that you carry on, (inc). (inc) we going to clean that room, that border room there. Clean it up downstairs, it's packed.

And ah she said "He's going to fail." And I said "No, he isn't." She said, "There's only five weeks to the end of school." And I said, "Leave it with me." So after supper, every night I had an old royal typewriter, manual that you had to bang every key (laughs). And it came out on the dining room table, dishes cleared.

Speaker: (laughs) um (laughs) um so- what time did supper start at? Like, eight-o-clock or? Interviewer: Six (laughs). Speaker: It started at six? Interviewer: Six, yeah.

Speaker: ... it started at seven, 'cause I remember, at seven-thirty, supper still hadn't come out. Interviewer: Okay. Speaker: And I was like, "What the fuck's going on?" Anyways, so it started at seven-o-clock and um and supper hadn't started being served 'til, like, seven-thirty or something. And um w-- I-don't-know, food comes out in, like, little tiny plates. So it's a fucking plate with ah, like, one slice of cheese, two olives and, like, two slices of meat (laughs).

So yeah, she'll- she'll know those traditions and I mean she's already playing the piano ah she already realizes that Sunday is family day to have supper together and when we do something she always wonders "Well where's all the rest of the family?"

I didn't mind the food there. We always um- I remember that supper time was always a big thing in Italy. And that one night we had been travelling a lot and so we went into the restaurant and we thought "Oh just a bowl of soup and a piece of bread. That's all we want."

And Hannah is often busy so they've dwindled a little bit, our Sunday suppers, but I presume that they'll start up again in September.

And every time we sat down for supper he always said "Is this moose? 'Cause I'm not hungry if it is."

My mother always showed me how to do stuff. And when I got to be a teenager it was- it was expected that, you-know, on some days it was my day to make supper. I remember the year we built- my parents built the house. They were often busy at the- at the lot and I learned to cook then.

So when we say today's our ravioli day, well that's a day we get together and everybody has their little specific job but everybody knows everybody else's job so when you make that it's- we start right away after lunch and takes 'til supper time and we just make a whole bunch of them.

And we usually play cards or Monopoly or -something-like-that after- after supper ah on Christmas-Eve.

And my grandmother would always try to stuff us with chocolate. Chocolate and food. So having supper there was always one of our like- like our- a tradition to eat a lot and then come home and feel sick for three days straight because you're eating so much food 'cause she doesn't like leftovers.

Interviewer: Strict in which ways? Speaker: Um ... if we chose, when we were younger, if we decided we weren't hungry- and of-course parents know better- like, if we're playing outside, of course you're still hungry, it's suppertime. ... But if we decided we wanted to stay out and play and so we feigned not being hungry, we would have to come in and wait until everybody else finished dinner.

I have really bad memory, too so. I can't remember what I ate for supper yesterday, so. Well, now I do remember, but last week, or-whatever.
